New Years Eve FOTD

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! I cannot believe it's almost 2013 already! This is my first FOTD, so I hope you like it.

Products used:

Dior Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation - This product is not pictured above because I had just ran out of the product and threw the packaging away, but the foundation is very smooth and lightweight

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - This is a great concealer and really conceals any blemishes and really works for my undereyes

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch - Amazing highlighter and really brightens the face. I made a V shape under my eyes and buffed it in

No7 Equisite Curl Mascara - This really curls my eyelashes, so I don't feel the need to use eyelash curlers

Natural Collection Eye Liner - Although a very cheap eye liner, it's actually quite good. I used this on my water line

Sleek Au Naturel Eye shadow Palette - I used the colours Taupe and Noir to achieve this look, which are the gold and black colours on the end of the palette. I used Taupe from the corner of my eye to three quarters of the way out and then I used Noir for the last quarter and blended it in with Taupe

Next Glitter Eye Liner - I just dotted these onto the gold part of the eye shadow

Glossybox Glossy Rosewood Blusher - I quickly swept this across my cheeks so create a subtle look

Natural Collection Lip Gloss - This is a nice baby pink, but you could add a pretty bold red lipstick, which I will be doing later on this evening.

Do you have any make up looks for New Year's Eve?

Happy New Year's Eve!

Friday Favorites

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas filled with too many mince pies, an overdose of chocolate and a balloon shaped tummy filled with turkey! I know I certainly have!Ok, so this is a new little thing I've decided to start and it's called Friday Favorites (as you may have guessed from the title). It's basically just a blog post about what I'm loving at the moment. I got this idea fro Lauren Conrad, who also does this on her blog, but uses different sub headings. (I also know that this should normally be done on Friday, but I didn't have time yesterday and I couldn't wait a whole week to do this.)

Favorite Food

Seeing as it's Christmas, the obvious choice for me is turkey.

Favorite Present

I'm extremely grateful for everything I received on Christmas day, but my favorite was definitely my new camera.

Favorite Picture

Seeing as I had a new camera for Christmas, I've been snapping quite a few pictures here and there, and managed to capture my dog mid-blink. I love this picture!

Favorite Creative Idea

I found this picture on Pinterest and thought it was amazing. I really want to try this soon.

Favorite Album

Recently I have been loving Kris Allen's album. If you haven't heard of him before, you should definitely check him out.

Favorite Outfit

Found on Favim, a photography website. I love this outfit and would love to recreate it. sometime.

Please let me know whether you like this idea of Favorite Friday or not down in the comments. I would love to hear what you have been loving recently.

Christmas tag

It's December! Normally these kind of things are done in videos, but I wanted to do this tag and so am blogging about it instead. These questions are just a mix form different videos.

1. Favourite Christmas movies? - My favourite Christmas films have to be Elf, The Grinch, The Holiday and the classic set of Home Alone (although I do also love the Santa Clause 1, 2 and 3).

2. Have you ever had a white Christmas? - Yes, I had a white Christmas two years ago and it was amazing! Although it didn't actually snow on Christmas Eve or Christmas day, there was snow on the ground because it had snowed a few days before, which I was very happy about seeing as I love snow!

3. Real or fake Christmas tree? – Real definitely! I love the smell of a real Christmas tree and I think it really adds to the Christmas mood, although I do have a false tree in my bedroom because I just wanted small cheap tree.

4. What do you eat for Christmas dinner? – The traditional Christmas dinner – Turkey, Roast potatoes, carrots, peas, sprouts (not that I’m a fan!), stuffing, chestnuts and cranberry sauce. I love Christmas dinner!

5. What time of year do you start getting excited for Christmas? – Seeing as I’m a Christmas freak, I think it’s only right I get excited around about August time.

6. What time do you normally wake up on  Christmas morning? – For the last few years I have woken up at about 5 a.m. , but when I was younger I used to wake up at about 3  a.m.

7. Would you rather be surrounded by snow or white beaches at Christmas? – Surrounded by snow definitely! I love snow and always hope that it will snow for Christmas, because I feel that the cold winter weather is part of Christmas.

8. Are you a fan of Christmas jumpers? – YES! I love Chrsitmas jumpers and am rooting for one this year!

9. Best Christmas present? – My  trampoline.

10. What makes Christmas special for you? – What makes Christmas special for me is being able to spend time with my family and sharing our delicious Christmas dinner together. I also love the presents!

Merry Christmas!
